Simmer Pot Mixes
I love using a simmer pot in the winter. Not only does it make my house smell good, it adds heat and humidity to my house during such a dry time. These simmer pot mixes smell good and can be used multiple times, just cover and let sit until the next day! When you're done with the simmer pot, dump the contents into your compost bin. Everything is either food grade and dehydrated myself or foraged from my yard (like the pine needles), making it incredibly safe.
To use a simmer pot, just add the contents of the package to a pan of water. Allow everything to come to a boil, then turn down and allow to simmer. Make sure the contents stay covered with water, and cover and allow to cool when finished.
